logins now working if I don't examine them too closely

Added by Woozle Hypertwin almost 9 years ago

That is, I've been able to go through the process of creating an account and assigning it permissions (which includes the ability to create permissions and security groups). There's no guarantee that it won't crash if anyone else tries it, but any glitches should be relatively easy to fix at this point.

That said, there isn't yet anything for users to do. Working on that next. (Also, new users have no permissions by default. That's probably fine for the foreseeable future; we can manually approve players and authors, and this should help cut down on spammy abuses. I'm still expecting spambots to come along at some point and start creating accounts just because they can, but I'll deal with that when it happens. Eventually we can give users "player" permissions automatically, unless we want to require manual approval.)

Might be a good idea to let automated player approval happen on a world-by-world basis, so different authors can handle it differently if they want to.

I'm guessing you don't yet want me to try to break the login feature? I am excited that we get to start working on "things for users to do" next!
